I believe all people have the capability to think freely, yet many do not. It has been my experience that many people do not spend time pondering the fundamental questions of life: Who am I? What is life’s purpose — if any? Is there a creator and what happens after death? Some dismiss these questions as trivial, while others adopt beliefs and values they don’t even truly believe in. This is likely a result of allowing the opinions of others to influence, maybe even dictate, what is the “right” way of thinking. Wrestling with these existential questions produces anxiety, so conformity is a safe way of avoiding the unpleasant nature of these questions.
However, we live in a world with an abundance of information, statistics, facts, opinions flood our modern day world, yet none of them can provide the answer to who we are. Though the availability of valid data can be an invaluable tool for expanding the mind and understanding of life through an empirical sense, each individual possesses a uniqueness that cannot be captured and quantified. Even looking through an empirical lens, each of us has a unique set of genes, environment, and experiences that have produced a single person; a person novel, unique, and unable to ever be replicated.
Therefore, it is my belief and goal that everyone has the right to be free to embrace their uniqueness and individuality; living a meaningful life without the burden of societal or culturally indoctrinated shackles weighing them down by worries, doubts, and fears. These can be eliminated through the discovery of Truth, which refines, polishes, and creates inside of your through your pursuit of it.
Hi
I have nominated you Liebster Award. Kindly follow this link, https://randomzblogging.wordpress.com/2015/10/15/liebster-award/ for details.
Thank you, I have just been looking for information about this subject for a while and yours
is the best I have came upon till now. However, what concerning
the bottom line? Are you positive concerning the supply?
What do you mean by supply?
Well phrased, very clean.
“each individual possesses a uniqueness that cannot be captured by such devices alone”
i couldn’t agree more. This line reminded me of how Psychologists are always labeling people as mentally ill if they think outside the norm, experience emotions deeply, and interpret the world in unique ways. Our sick society deflects it’s own sickness on individuals who choose to make their own rules and live and think freely.
Anyways Great Post! Your words resonate well with me
